The Stormy Weather Horror Fest honored Synesthesia with three nominations in their Winter 2017 awards. The film received a nomination for BEST SHORT. Director/Producer Alison Kohlhardt, who also played Vivian in the film, received a nomination for OUTSTANDING FEMALE FILMMAKER. Synesthesia has been named and OFFICIAL SELECTION of the 2016 Bloodstained Indie Film Festival.
The Long Beach, CA based festival focuses on sci-fi, horror, and action films, although all genre are accepted. While the festival has no local event, the highest-rated selected films will be shown to a live audience in Shanghai, China where Bloodstain is cooperating with another international film festival.
Synesthesia by Director Alison Kohlhardt, has been named an Official Selection of The first annual Ax Wound Film Festival (AWFF) taking place at the Hooker-Dunham Theater & Gallery in Brattleboro, Vermont on October 10, 2015 from 2pm-11pm.
AWFF features a diverse selection of 34 short horror films directed by women around the globe. Some selections are high budget productions and others rock low budget DIY filmmaking skills, but each one brings an equal level of entertainment, passion, and scares across all our favorite sub-genres from zombies, slashers, supernatural, body horror, and beyond.
All-access wristbands are available for only $5 and include entry to every film screening and special event throughout the day.

Synesthesia was named an Official Selection of The Unrestricted View Horror Film Festival in North London, United Kingdom.
The seven day (and night) festival showcases the best independent horror features, shorts and web series. The festival is run by filmmakers and aims to celebrate the very best in indie and encourage all aspects of independent horror film making.
The Festival will be held at The Hen & Chickens Theatre, an independent cinema in Islington, North London and the pub below will be the networking and meeting place, October 31st through November 6th.

Synesthesia is an Official Selection of the Upstate NY Horror Film Festival October 15-16 in Rochester, NY. It will be the US and NY premieres for the film. This is the third year for the festival.

Synesthesia was been named an Official Selection of the first annual Sick Chick Flicks Film Festival to be held November 5th, 2016 at the Cary Theatre in downtown Cary, NC.
The all short film festival (films under 20 minutes) accepts short films in the Horror, Sci Fi, Fantasy, and Suspense genres. Their emphasis is female filmmakers will showcase work by some of the best indie filmmakers from NC and around the world.
